SMA News – Al-Arabia Net – Follow -ups
A major official of the US administration indicated that the white house intends to pose more sanctions against persons of the Iranian regimen or supports to it who are involved in suppressing demonstrations. The official, who asked to be anonymous, said that “we are thinking of all possibilities”, referring to the fact that Trump’s power allows him to target organizations or individuals who are involved in violating human rights. This statement came after Trump’s last tweet saying, “All our respect to the Iranian people who are trying to overthrow a corrupt government” adding “you will see significant US support in time”. Iranian demonstrations reached its seventh day with increased demands, especially after 22 persons were killed, according to official statistics. Several video clips were shared on social media showing Iranian security forces hitting young protesters while some women were trying to save them from being arrested.
