The security belt forces in Abyan continue for the 4th consecutive day their security campaign in the city of Zanzibar and adjacent areas to seize unknown motorcycles and cars and prevent unlicensed weapons from being carried.
Commander of Rapid Intervention Forces in Zanzibar, Commander Nasser Ward said: “The security campaign in the city of Zanzibar and the surrounding areas is proceeding at a high pace according to the prepared plan, and achieved great successes since its inception.”
Commander Nasser Ward praised the cooperation shown by citizens with the belt forces and their commitment to the directions and controls taken to prevent the movement of motorcycles and carry unlicensed weapons, indicating that the campaign will continue until it achieves its goals.
Ward called on all the people of Abyan to preserve the security and stability of their cities and regions, to combat uncivilized social acts such as shooting at weddings, and to report violators of the regulations and controls taken, or any movements of suspicious elements of terrorist groups and outlaws who seek to destabilize the security and stability of Abyan.
