SMA News – Socotra – Exclusive Ramzi Mahrous, governor of Socotra negated news shared by local media about conflicts between local authorities of the governorate and UAE. Mahrous said: “Our relations with UAE are excellent and what UAE does in Socotra of humanitarian efforts led us to increase our respect to this humanitarian state”. He added: “Socotra suffered marginalization for years till UAE interfered and created a qualitative shift in the governorate through restoring and reconstructing infrastructure. Our offices are always open for our brothers in this state of humanitarianism and solidarity who provided citizens of Socotra with all means of help”.
Mahrous indicated that: “Socotra was targeted by an attack by several mercenary media tools who attacked all those who helped us. UAE provided a lot of help to Socotra citizens who suffered greatly during the recent years. People of Socotra were to live a bitter suffering unless UAE interfered in time to serve us by God’s will.
