Al-Arab of London: Socotra Refuses to Surrender to Muslim Brotherhood Militias

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Al-Arab of London – Follow-ups[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″][su_dropcap]A[/su_dropcap]l-Arab of London, a prominent British newspaper, shed light on recent events in Socotra including rejection of decisions issued by Muslim Brotherhood of the legitimacy and declaring the join to southern transitional council.
In its editorial on Saturday, the news paper indicated that security commanders in Socotra refused initiating the decisions issued by the interim president Abd Rabu Mansour Hady to surrender the island to troops of Al-Eslah party, the terrorist arm of Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen.
The newspaper indicated that citizens of the island refused decisions of Hady to dismiss some security commanders in Socotra, including Socotra Police Chief, Ahmed Ali Al-Ragdahi, and appointing Faez Musa Tahes instead of him. Citizens considered this decision, issued by military commanders in Al-Eslah, as a try to control the island that joined the southern transitional council.
According to the newspaper, citizens of Socotra supported their security commanders in refusing to surrender the island’s official headquarters and facilities to military troops loyal to Muslim Brotherhood militias.
