Peace Talks in Sweden End and Guterres Announces Outcomes

Peace talks of the Yemeni crisis held in Sweden under auspice of United Nations, ended as Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary General indicated in his speech during the final session that negotiations achieved good outcomes. Guterres indicated the two conflicting parties reached an agreement including cease fire in Al-Hodeida, Deployment of neutral troops and establishing humanitarian paths. He added that the political framework will be discussed in upcoming rounds of negotiations next January.
Guterres said: “We established the date in January so that both parties can prepare their files upon conflicting points. This agreement means a lot to Yemenis and the whole world”.
UN Secretary General indicated that many governments, including Kuwait and Oman, played a major role in these negotiations.
Margot Wahlstrom, Swedish minister of foreign affairs expressed her happiness of the participation of Yemeni NGOs in these consultations asserting that Sweden will participate in a conference for supporting Yemen.
