President of the Southern Transitional Council Receives Mr. Michael Aron, the British Ambassador
In his residence in Amman – Jordan, General Aidarous Kassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, received Mr. Michael Aron, the British Ambassador to Yemen.
The meeting discussed joint relations and developments of the crisi as president Al-Zubaidi appreciated the British efforts for making peace and stability in the region.
Thw British Ambassador expressed his happiness with the meeting and asserted that UK understands the necessity of solving the southern cause rightfully in addition to the importance of representing the south in upcoming talks and negotiations.
A;-Zubaidi asserted that the southern people are ready for peace process indicating that they may work as a catalyst to reach peace and solutions.
Mr. Aron welcomed the council’s attitude towards peace process and appreciated the peaceful path of the council to restore his political rights and solve his legitimate cause asserting that the south suffers from unfair marginalization since 1994.
General Ahmed Ben Brik, chairman of the national assembly, Ahmed Lamlas, secretary general of the council, Eng. Adnan Al-Kaf, member of Negotiations Unit, Dr. Abd Al-Nasser Al-Waly, chairman of local leadership of the council in Aden, and Mohamed Al-Ghaithi, vice chairman of foreign affairs department, attended the meeting.
