The President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidaroos Qasim Abdulaziz Al-Zubaidi, met on Tuesday in Aden the capital, with “Aden Consultation Group”, which includes a group of the most prominent cadres of Aden, including politicians, judges, academics and businessmen.
President Al-Zubaidi praised the distinguished role of the group in supporting the political process, and in defending the aspirations of their southern people, especially the people of the capital, Aden.
President Al-Zubaidi affirmed the council’s commitment to work to restore the pioneering role of Aden, which is the task of everyone.
In the meeting, the group explained the importance of its presence to be able to support all parties in providing security and stability to Aden and the southern governorates, and presented a matrix containing proposals and mechanisms to support the efforts of the Transitional Council towards the implementation of the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement. .
The group praised the statesmanship of the leadership of the Transitional Council during the dialogue phase leading to the signing of the agreement in Riyadh, noting that the agreement needs an integrated vision for its implementation and the importance of using the southern competencies and expertise to make the agreement successful.
The meeting dealt with the economic crisis, the financial obstacles of export and import, and the slow procedures that greatly affect the movement of trade and industry in the capital, Aden, and the rest of the provinces.
The meeting reviewed the suffering of citizens in Aden, especially with regard to the decline in basic services such as water and electricity, and the lack of real infrastructure to serve the people of Aden, pointing also to the importance of providing full care to the University of Aden, and the contribution in its academic advancement.
The group called for the Transitional Council to be an active partner in facing exotic behaviors in Aden and protecting the city from futility and slums that spread to various cities of the south.
