The open sit-in carried out by the southern retired and military personnel upon the call of the Southern Military Commission expanded a week in front of the headquarters of the Arab Coalition headquarters in the city of Al-Shaab in Al-Borika of Aden the capital.

A number of southern unions have organized sit-in camps to demand their rights as well and at the same time support the Southern Military Commission.

A source in the General Union of the South Syndicates said that a number of union branches have joined the sit-in camps and the rest of the unions intend to join the sit-in to demand the payment of salaries and resolving the status of the military and southern retirees as well as other civil institutions that refuse all the competent authorities to give them their rights and bonuses.

Another source in the sit-in camps in front of the Arab coalition headquarters expected that the sit-in will witness expansion and more support, stressing on a comprehensive escalation plan expected in the coming days.

On Sunday morning, the Southern Military Commission held a military parade with symbolic units from the southern army units in front of the coalition camp, which comes within the escalating plan drawn up for the southern military and security authority, which the authority called for a week ago after all parties shirked their responsibilities and duties to pay their salaries due several months ago.
