[su_dropcap]Mr.[/su_dropcap] Fadl Mohammad Al-Jaadi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, met on Wednesday, with members of the Southern Teachers and Educators Syndicate and Aden Women Forum, to discuss the situation of southern teachers and students.

In the meeting, the Assistant Secretary-General welcomed the leadership of the Southern Teachers and Educators Syndicate and members of Aden Women Forum, and affirmed that teachers suffer and whoever talks about his keenness to educate his children separately from the rights of the teacher is exaggerating and unaware of the importance of the teachers issue.

Al-Jaadi said: “Education has not been destroyed, but the educational role in schools has been systematically destroyed,” noting that if the teacher fights for the dispossession of his rights only, far from fulfilling his duties and obligations, he will contribute to that destruction.

Al-Jaadi added: “Education is the basis for building any society, and societies elevate their sons’ arms, so it is necessary to restore the educational role where the teacher is the pillar in the school and the whole community, and the teacher must perform his duties towards his community,” pointing out that unions have taken an advanced step towards the road of solving this issue by gpoing to the judiciary to claim the legitimate rights of its members.

The Syndicate called on the Transitional Council to stand by the teachers until they get their just rights and fulfill the demands of the teachers who are now suffering from many difficulties in performing their educational and teaching duties.

For its part, Aden Women Forum affirmed that they stand by teachers in their demands that are commensurate with the value of the teacher and the position of the teacher in society, in a way that ensures the development and solutions of all problems that teachers suffer from.
