Al-Wali meets head of Doctors Without Borders Belgium mission in Aden the capital

[/dropcap] Abdel Nasser Al-Wali, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, head of the Transitional Council’s local leadership in Aden the capital, vice president of the Relief and Humanitarian Aid Committee of the Council, met on Tuesday, with Mr. Matthew Rodriguez, Head of the Belgium Doctors Without Borders Mission.

 

The meeting discussed a number of important topics related to the humanitarian and health aspects, especially with regard to the organization’s efforts to confront Covid-19, in the capital Aden and the rest of the southern governorates.

Al-Wali praised the organization’s prominent role in training and qualifying local medical personnel, by previewing the ways to prevent Corona, and how to deal with infected and suspected cases of the virus, and the right treatment and health methods to avoid infection with this deadly epidemic.

For his part, the head of the mission, Mr. Rodriguez, thanked the leadership of the Council for the spirit of cooperation and attention given to the organization, praising the efforts of the leadership and members of the security and military services of the Council in protecting the medical staff and providing the safe conditions that enabled it to perform its health and humanitarian services to citizens with ease during the past period, noting that the mission will continue to provide medical and humanitarian services related to COVID-19.

 

The meeting was attended by Ahmed Al-Asal, advisor to the Belgian Doctors Without Borders mission, and Khaled Shobh, head of the media department for the transition of the capital, Aden.
