Dialogue Committee Continues Sessions with the Association of Forceful Retirees and Southern Democratic Coalition Party

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″][su_dropcap]I[/su_dropcap]n continuation of its talks of the second stage, the dialogue committee, headed by General Ahmed Said Ben Brik, chairman of the Southern National Assembly, held its communication session with Association of Forceful Retirees (civilians, military and security personnel) at the national assembly’s headquarters.
Ben Brik started the session with asking god to bless the soles of martyrs in Gebel Al-Ar – Yafia, Mukiras and Al-Dalia. He asserted that their bloods will never go in vain and the southern resistance will achieve victory for the south.
He also asserted that the southern transitional council took the decision of opening the doors for southern dialogues with southern political parties and components to lineup the south and reach agreement on the desired goal of restoring the southern independent state. he indicated that the first stage of dialogue was successful asserting the influential role of the council as the umbrella under which all southern political components meet and talk about the suffering of the southern people following the union. He also indicated that forceful retirees of civilian, military and security personnel are facing a fierce war through delaying their pensions.
Ben Brik demanded southern citizens to reach an agreement and declare one opinion to UN in the face of current suffering and to denounce procrastination on the principle of restoring the southern state.
Brigadier Omar Al-Daous, board member of Association of Forceful Retirees, chairman of the southern movement in Khour Maxar, delivered a short speech asserting the support of the association to the council in the struggle. He also welcomed the dialogue aiming to restore the southern state on pre-1990 borders.
Participants discussed their opinions in an open dialogue. Ambassador Kassem Askar Gubran, chairman of the foreign affair committee and member of the administrative association of the southern national assembly, attended the session.
Also, on Monday May 13th, 2019, another session was held between Mr. Amin Saleh, vice chairman of the dialogue committee and member of the council’s presidency, and Southern Democratic Coalition Party (TAG). The meeting discussed major issues as part of the second stage of the southern dialogue.
Most significant issues were national lineup and political partnership under the council as a political umbrella and political carrier of the southern cause. Agreements were reached concerning widening local leaderships of the council and making use of the experience of TAG abroad, in addition to reaching a code of ethics that joins all political powers in the south later.
