General Ben Brik: Southern Talks in Abu Dhabi Discussed Fateful Issues Defining “the Political and Administrative of the South” According to Public Will

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Adan – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] In a press release, chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, General Ahmed Said Ben Brik, indicated that historic understandings took place among all southern parties under the umbrella of patriotic sense and responsibility among all parties, as what was achieved represented major rapprochement and unification of the political vision and path towards real southern national line-up.
Ben Brik added: “the southern – southern dialogue and negotiation commission, headed by Dr. Nasser Al-Khabji, member of the presidency of the southern transitional council, issued a statement about these meetings confirming the critical stage we are in and the necessity of cooperation and joint work towards unifying efforts and establishing the role of the southern transitional council to break up political siege imposed over the south”.
He also indicated that meetings were fruitful and its major outcome is the agreement on several points and headlines, asserting that the dialogue is continuing and it is expected that these meetings will lead to an expanded plan for work including the expansion and support of the council through improving its representative and administrative functions by contributions of active southern powers inside the south and abroad.
Furthermore, he confirmed that meetings will not stop at a specific point as it is an inclusive developmental dialogue process discussing all fateful issues defining the political and administrative future of the south. It expresses the public will that seeks the restoration of the southern state as a strategic goal during the transitional stage.
The past few days witnessed several meetings among leaders of the southern transitional council and other southern figures in Abu Dhabi, the last of which was with former southern president Ali Salem Al-Beed. Other meeting included southern figures like former southern president Ali Nasser Mohamed, former prime minister Khaled Bahah and chairman of Southern Sons Association Party, Abd Al-Rahman Al-Gafferi.
