Homaid chairs meeting of Supreme Economic Committee and assistant members of supervisory committees

Dr. Abdul Salam Saleh Homaid, Advisor to the President of the Southern Transitional Council for Economic Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Economic Committee in the Council, chaired on Monday, a meeting of the Supreme Economic Committee and assistant members of the supervisory committees, to discuss the current developments at various levels, politically, militarily and economically.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Supreme Economic Committee saluted the first anniversary of the martyrdom of the heroic leader Munir Mahmoud al-Yafei “Abu al-Yamamah”, and his companions martyrs.

Homaid affirmed the support of the Supreme Economic Committee for all measures taken by the negotiating delegation in Riyadh led by President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council, and the mechanism for accelerating the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement under the auspices of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

At the same time, Homaid conveyed the congratulations of the Economic Committee to Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas for the confidence in the leadership of the capital, Aden, and its support for him for the sake of the advancement of the capital whenever he asked to do so.

The meeting emphasized that the Economic Committee adheres to the directives of the Presidency of the Transitional Council in abandoning the Self-Administration and stopping the activities of the supervisory committees on the activity of institutions and interests, and replacing that with the formation of specialized committees in all production and service sectors in the future and transforming the task of the Economic Committee into an advisory body concerned with economic affairs by providing visions And formulate ideas and policies related to the economic, development and service aspects of the President of the Council and its Presidency through these specialized committees, and make use of highly qualified consultants.

The Chairman of the Economic Committee also conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the President of the Transitional Council to those committees that have made great efforts in the success of the Self-Administration during the past three months, stressing on the benefit of the reports prepared by those committees that identified the nature of the problems and difficulties that these institutions and bodies suffer, as they will be presented to the Presidency of the Council to benefit from them to correct these imbalances in the future.
