Intense flight of coalition warplanes over armed Brotherhood camps in Shabwa

Shabwa governorate, eastern Yemen, witnessed on Saturday an intense flight of coalition fighting aircraft, in a move described as a response to the armed escalation of the Brotherhood in the oil province.

Tribal sources said that the warplanes overflew after an escalation by the Brotherhood’s armed sit-in near Al-Alam camp.

The Brotherhood authorities in Shabwa seek to acquire the governorate’s ports as part of their plans to export oil and gas from Marib governorate through the shores of Shabwa.

A statement by the people of the eastern districts in Shabwa governorate condemned the establishment of the sit-in camp in front of Al-Alam camp that belong to the Arab coalition forces, as well as the mobilization of armed men in the name of “the masters of Marakha district”, to Jardan district, considering this an incitement to tribal revolts between the tribes of Shabwa.
