Lamlas: We rely on teachers in fighting negative phenomena and salute their role in overcoming difficult circumstances in educational process.

The governor of Aden the capital, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, informed the leadership of the teachers union in the capital Aden on the results of his follow-up with the government to get them their rights.

During his meeting with the union’s leadership, Lamlas confirmed that the issue of teachers was placed on the top priorities of the local authority leadership, and it was strongly raised in all meetings that took place with the government and was formally addressed, indicating that there are promises and we are still waiting for solutions. The governor added: “The teacher is the main pillar for building and straightening society, and he is the one we rely on in fighting the negative phenomena that have invaded society in the recent period, and we in the local authority appreciate the great role that the teachers of Aden play in running the educational process, despite all the living conditions they suffer of.

Lamlas renewed his full support for the teachers’ legitimate claims to obtain their rights, and work to continue his efforts in following up on their cause until their full and uncompromised rights are delivered.

Regarding food aid, the Governor Lamlas pointed that there are continuous follow-ups with the donors and supporters, pointing out that due to the funding agencies ’association with the annual inventory work, consideration of this issue has been postponed until the arrangement is completed.

In the meeting, the governor heard from the union’s leadership the most prominent problems teachers face in the current period, and the aspirations of teachers today with the formation of the government to alleviate the long suffering that affected teachers, educators, and the state’s administrative sector in general.
