Al-Marfadi stressed that the Presidency of the Republic should have worked to remove the country from complications and crises and focus on stabilizing security, providing services and alleviating the suffering of citizens, instead of issuing decisions that confuse the political and legal scene and violate the Riyadh Agreement and bypass its partners, which appear clearly wrong through the consensus of legal, human rights and popular institutions on their rejected of these decisions.

Al-Mafradi added, “We are looking for a state based on legal foundations that preserve rights,” noting that what has happened in these decisions shakes this trend.

Al- Mafradi stressed the importance of cohesion in front of decisions and procedures that lead to destabilizing ambitions, and in return support measures aimed at stability and achieving the aspirations of the people of the South, which is one of the goals of the Union.

In addition to the unilateral presidency decisions that created a new crisis in the country, the meeting discussed several topics that included the appointments outside the consensus that override the Riyadh agreement and its partners.

The meeting also touched on the latest preparations for holding of the General Union of Southern Jurists’ conference, and details of the time and place and preparations for the conference.

In the meeting, a proposal for a program for holding a workshop and a television program was presented, which to include discussing the most prominent human rights issues on the ground, their causes and treatments, and forming a preparatory committee in this regard, in addition to discussing the preparation of a joint work plan and a number of activities and events in coordination with the legal departments in the provinces.
