Major General Bin Brik meets Deputy Head of Socotra Transitional Council Executive and Commander of Security Belt Brigade in governorate

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, Chairman of the National Assembly met on Thursday, at the Society’s headquarters, Mohammed Hadid Al-Socotri, Deputy Head of the Executive Authority of the Local Leadership of the Transitional Council in Socotra governorate, and Brigadier Ali Omar Kafain, commander of the Security Belt Brigade in the governorate.

In the meeting, Al-Socotri and Kafain conveyed, to Major General Bin Brik, the greetings of the citizens of Socotra and their blessing for the victories and gains achieved by the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council internally and externally for the cause of the people of the South, for which our people made huge sacrifices, reviewing the victories and achievements made in Socotra on the security and political levels and ways to activate workflow in the local leadership and centers, addressing imbalances, activating performance in service facilities, and the necessary and urgent needs of Socotra and Abdul-Kuri in a manner that alleviates the suffering of citizens.

For his part, Major General Bin Brik expressed his happiness with this meeting, stressing that the leadership of the Transitional Council pays special attention to Socotra and the achievements it has accomplished, mainly the desire of the citizens of Socotra not to accept the Brotherhood and their destructive plans to change the identity of the island and to put it in a dress other than its original and change the features of its southern identity, pointing out that the current stage requires the concerted efforts of all the benevolent people of the South and strengthening of joining and cohesion between the people of Socotra in particular and the South in general.

Major General Bin Brik added that Socotra occupies importance to the leadership of the Transitional Council, and in the coming days, Socotra and Abdul-Kuri will witness more attention to be a model that suits it and its position, calling for the need to pay attention to the youth in Socotra, develop their skills and capabilities and enhance them, raise their awareness level and encourage them to complete their university and technical education stages, including serving and meeting the needs of their governorate.
