Official document reveals corruption operations and waste of money passed by governor of Shabwa bin Adiyu

The National Anti-Corruption Commission in Shabwa has revealed corruption and waste of public money and passing of projects carried out by the governor of Shabwa governorate, Mohammad Salih bin Adiyu, in ways that violate the law during the recent period.

A representative of the Anti-Corruption in Shabwa, Fahd Awad Abdullah sent a note to the governor of Shabwa and its tail with a copy for the undersecretary of the Public Funds Prosecution and for the Central Agency for Monitoring and Accounting, Shabwa branch, during which he clarified the violations he had filed with regards to enabling projects with huge funds for contractors in different and illegal ways, asking the governor to adhere to the procedures followed in projects and contracting.

It was mentioned that governor bin Adiyu signed more than six contracts for project works without announcing any tender, noting that these measures fall within the processes of corruption and tampering with public money ..

It is worth noting that Shabwa governor had concluded a contract with a contracting company to rebuild the Peace Bridge in the Naqaba region without any discussion and at a cost of more than one billion riyals, just to please Ahmed Musaed Hussein, the head of the so-called People’s Assembly and partner in the company that was assigned the task of implementing the project.
