President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi holds meeting with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom via video call

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, President Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, held on Wednesday, from his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, a video meeting with the United Kingdom’s ambassador to Yemen, Mr. Michael Aaron.
The meeting discussed the developments of the political situation in the Riyadh Agreement consultations, in which President Al-Zubaidi stressed on the Council’s position regarding the need to address the files referred to in the Council’s message to the Kingdom on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, which came after numerous letters addressed to the Arab Coalition regarding the other party’s failure to implement its commitments and the announced agreements, pointing to the ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement and the successive mobilization operations by the forces affiliated with the Yemeni government, in addition to the failure to address issues related to the lives and livelihood of citizens, especially in public services.
President Al-Zubaidi also affirmed the Transitional Council’s adherence to implement the Riyadh Agreement without selectivity, and its support for the efforts of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to obligate the other party to implement the provisions of the agreement without diminishing the right of Southerners to live a decent life, as well as to stop practicing the policy of collective punishment against the people of the South.
For his part, the ambassador of the United Kingdom affirmed his country’s position in supporting the implementation of the agreement, indicating that they are making great efforts to support the Kingdom’s efforts to accelerate the finding of solutions that contribute to return to the implementation of the agreement and the preparation for the comprehensive political process.
