President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi meets the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, President Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, received on Thursday, at his residence in the Saudi capital Riyadh, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Ahmed Farouk, and the official in the Yemeni political file, Mr. Mohamed Al-Erian.

In the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi talked about the historical relations and strategic interests that bind our country and our people with the Republic of Egypt and its brotherly people, indicating that Egypt plays a fundamental role in protecting the security and stability of the region and Arab national security, appreciating the Egyptian military and humanitarian role that Egypt has played throughout the period of the crisis in our country. .

President Al-Zubaidi praised the wisdom and efforts of the Egyptian leadership, represented by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, in managing various files and facing many challenges during the critical phase that the brotherly Egypt went through, as the Egyptian leadership with its expertise has been able to transform these difficult circumstances into a comprehensive economic, constructive and development renaissance that restored to Arab Egypt its position between Countries of the region and the world.

President Al-Zubaidi affirmed the unity of the common destiny with the Republic of Egypt within the framework of the Arab project aimed at protecting the security of the region alongside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, pointing to the common goals, interests and threats represented in protecting Bab al-Mandeb, the Gulf of Aden and shipping lines, and combating the forces of terrorism and extremism, and intrusive ideas and unashamed interference that the region is exposed to.

President Al-Zubaidi reviewed the efforts made by the Arab Coalition countries, led by the Kingdom and the UAE, to implement the Riyadh Agreement, and to unify the efforts to confront common threats, foremost among which is facing the Houthi militia supported by Iran, and combating terrorism and extremism.

For his part, the Egyptian ambassador emphasized that the main goal of the Arab Republic of Egypt is towards security and stability in the region and finding a political solution and lasting peace, stressing his country’s support for the political efforts led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, appreciating the role of the Transitional Council alongside the Arab coalition in various related files.

The meeting was attended by Mohammad Al-Ghaithi, Deputy Head of the General Department for Foreign Affairs, and Anis Al-Sharafi, Member of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, and Adel Al-Shabhi, representative of the General Department of Foreign Affairs.
