President Al-Zubaidi congratulates on launching the Southern Women Forum in Britain
The President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, congratulated the Southern Women Forum in Britain on its launching, which was on Saturday under the auspices of the Office of the Southern Transitional Council General Administration for Foreign Affairs in the United Kingdom.
President Al-Zubaidi delivered his speech by phone at the launching ceremony, in which he greeted and congratulated the southern women with this forum in Britain, affirming the Transitional Council’s keenness to activate the role of women and support their representation in all aspects of social, economic and political life.
The ceremony attended by a large number of members of the southern community from various British cities and a number of guests from members of local councils and representatives of British community organizations.
At the end of the ceremony, the forum honored Aisha Mohsen Al-Khaili, formerly the first chairwoman of the Yemeni Women’s Union and lawyer Ibtisam Qasim Salih, the first southern woman to campaign in the UK and become a member of Sheffield’s local council.
