President of Self-Administration discusses with the administration of Electricity Corporation ways of improvement

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, President of the Self-Administration of the South, discussed with a number of Aden Electricity Corporation officials on Monday the status of electrical power stations and the challenges facing the Corporation’s administration to secure energy and ensure its stability and the potential for raising generational capacities in the coming period.

During the meeting, which was attended by Major General Salem Al-Socotri, Assistant Secretary General, Dr. Abdul Salam Humaid, Chairman of the Economic Committee, and Dr. Mohammad bin Hammam, Economic Advisor to the Chairman of the Self-Administration, and on the electricity side, Eng. Mujeeb Al-Sha’abi, director of electricity corporation in Aden the capital, and his deputies, and representatives of the rented power stations of Al-Saadi and Bagarsh.

Major General Ben Brik said that there are challenges in the services and health aspects that are as important as military  battles, especially after the recent disaster that struck Aden and destroyed its infrastructure.

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik urged the management of the Electricity Corporation and the delegates of the purchased energy to make the utmost efforts to stabilize the electrical energy, pointing out that the Self-Administration will work to overcome all difficulties and obstacles to ensure the functioning of electricity to perform its duties in delivering the service to citizens in a way that relieves them from the critical conditions they live in. .

For their part, the officials of Aden electricity corporation, and the representatives of the rented power stations stressed their utmost efforts to secure what can be secured from electrical energy and understanding the difficult humanitarian conditions that the capital Aden is going through, which requires providing the maximum energies and capabilities to alleviate the suffering of the people.
