The Security Committee in the capital, Aden, issued an important statement regarding the bombing incident that targeted the gate of Aden International Airport, on Saturday evening, and resulted in dozens of dead and wounded civilians, revealing the truth of the incident, which conflicted about whether it was a terrorist act or caused by a car loaded with fuel.

Below is the text of the statement:

In continuation of its series of systematic targeting of the capital, Aden, and attempts to undermine the state of security, stability and public tranquility in it, and after it was tightened and reached a state of despair and humiliation, the forces of terrorism and extremism committed, on Saturday evening, a heinous crime, using a car bomb, targeting defenseless citizens and innocent children in the city of Khormaksar.

The Security Committee in the capital, Aden, affirm that it has taken the necessary measures and procedures related to the investigation of the circumstances of the sinful incident and the continuation of its units and specialized devices in tracking the elements involved and participated in this cowardly act, it will spare no effort in carrying out its national tasks and duties in imposing security, stability and public tranquility, and fighting and eradicating terrorism and extremism in all its forms and manifestations.

It also confirms that these attempts that targeted innocents are only evidence of the state of weakness, helplessness and bankruptcy that these forces have reached, and their failure to achieve their miserable goals by striking the state and compromising its prestige and its various institutions and bodies.

The Security Committee, while expressing its deep sadness and pain at the fall of the innocent and peaceful in this cowardly criminal act, extending its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs and its prayers to Almighty to grant the wounded and injured a speedy recovery, and pledges that it will not allow this crime to pass unnoticed and will make its utmost efforts, in monitoring and tracking the perpetrators, and refer them to the judiciary to receive a deterrent punishment in the near future.

In conclusion, the Security Committee reassures the residents of the capital, Aden, of the continued work of state agencies and institutions, including international navigation at Aden International Airport, and invites them to lead their lives normally, and there is no cause for concern.
