The southern armed forces units stationed in Sabira-al-Jobb sector in Al-Dhalea governorate, managed at midnight on Thursday, to break a large-scale attack by the Houthi militia that they had attempted to launch towards Camp al-Jobb from three ways, reinforced with intense fire cover of various weapons.

Colonel Mohammad Ali Saeed of the Seventh Brigade, said in a statement: “Our forces managed to break an attack launched by the enemy at midnight last night from three tracks north, east, and west, and we caused them heavy losses and forced the attack to break towards its previous positions, north of the town of Sabira, in which it was firmly confronted in the three offensive paths.

A source in the “third and first” Southern Resistance Brigades also said that the militia, in their attack last night towards the north of the al-Jobb camp, had attempted to launch an attack towards it and were broken, and then attempted to make a detour from the left direction towards Battar sector as well as the starboard towards Wadi Sabira and Habeel Al-Dahnah, which was encountered with direct confrontations in the middle of Wadi Sabira and the various axes, and was forced to break under fire.

The Source added, “The artillery corps of the 16th Battalion of the 33rd Armored Brigade was able to target the enemy’s rear, north of the town of Sabira, with a number of mortar shells that achieved direct targets, and these fire pincers that surrounded the enemy militia from all these paths forced the enemy to retreat to their previous positions amid great losses they incurred. “.

The Houthi militia launched its attack on Thursday, with intensive fire cover and extensive use of mortars, B10 and RPG shells in an attempt to achieve any progress, but it returned disappointed with more losses in its ranks and equipment.

It is worth noting that the time of the attack coincided with the return of reconnaissance drones belonging to the militias, or what is known locally as “Al-Zanana”, as it hovered in the sky of the battle until it ended in breaking the attack and then left west towards the mountains of Al-Hasha District, north of Al-Dhalea.
