The Presidency of the Transitional Council discusses military developments in Nahm and its implications for South

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held on Sunday, its weekly meeting, under the chairmanship of Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly, acting president of the Transitional Council.

The meeting reviewed the developments of the military situation in Naham in the Yemeni governorate of Marib, and its implications on the south and the region, and discussed the procedures for implementing the military part of the Riyadh Agreement, pointing to the completion of the Transitional Council’s implementation of the obligations of the withdrawal plan, while the other party did not implement its obligations in Abyan and Shabwa, and even rejects it in full, and not to move its forces in order to disrupt the mission of the withdrawals supervisory committee.

The meeting stressed on the necessity for the Arab Coalition leadership to exert pressure to speed the transfer of Yemeni government forces stationed in Shabwa, Abyan, and Hadhramaut Valey, and Al-Mahra to confront the Houthi militias in Marib according to the terms of the Riyadh Agreement, as they possess weapons and the necessary and large number of individuals, and have never participated in battles to liberate the lands under the Houthi militias control, instead, they deploy their forces to control the liberated southern lands.

The meeting reviewed the results of the third session of the National Assembly on activating the southern dialogue, and discussed the vision of the National Assembly for administrating the South according to the terms of the Riyadh Agreement.
