Yemeni Red Crescent Launches its Biggest Humanitarian Aids Campaign in Karsh

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Karsh – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] Fawaz Mohamed Al-Shaoush, secretary general of the Yemeni Red Crescent in Lahj, indicated that the association launched the biggest humanitarian aids operation in Karsh last week. The operation targeted to distribute 7548 food baskets, donated by IRC, over five consecutive days. Souk Al-Ruboa and Najd Al-Baru received 2408 baskets while Al-Ashar received 570 baskets, Kumaih School 810 baskets Zeek Mahsous and Mafrek Need 1267 baskets and Dur, Olsan and Al-Kify 2493 baskets. Each basket contained 50 kg of rice, 25 kg of lentil, 25 kg of Soya beans and a box of food supplements (30 sachets). He added that the operation came in the second stage of operations this year as the first stage was in last January. He also indicated that Yemeni Red Crescent delivers humanitarian aids without bias for all citizens and refugees coming from armed conflicts areas. The operation came in cooperation with Lahj governorate represented by Saleh Mahmoud, director of Lahj Governorate office, and Tharwat Okasha, director of associations and unions – office of social affairs in Al-Kubaita.
